




GAMWORKS
The Gambia Agency for Management of Public Works (Gamworks) is a non-governmental, public works construction institution, dedicated to providing vital public infrastructure and services, creating employment and building local capacity through public sector infrastructural improvements and private sector development.
The overall aim is to reduce poverty in The Gambia. This is achieved through the management of construction works and the rehabilitation of public infrastructure, providing technical assistance and training and implementing of the Technical Studies Programme.


FASDEP
The Food and Agriculture Sector Development Project (FASDEP) seeks to reduce rural household poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition, through increased agricultural production and productivity and commercialization. The key outcomes will be: reduced constraints hindering agricultural production and productivity and natural resources protected on a sustainable basis; market led private sector environment to foster smallholder commercialization promoted; and, improved food security and nutritional status of vulnerable groups and households.
NAWEC
National Water And Electricity Co.Ltd (NAWEC) was established in June 1996 under the Companies Act of 1955 as a Public Limited liability Company. NAWEC is engaged in the generation and provision of electricity, water and sewerage services for domestic, public and industrial purposes. NAWEC succeeded the Gambia Utilities Corporation (GUC), which was established by an act of parliament in 1972 and the Utilities Holding Corporation (UHC), which was established by Presidential Executive Order in 1992. UHC entered into a leasing contract with SOGEA which formed a company, Management Services Gambia Limited (MSG) to operate and manage the assets profitably. This arrangement was terminated in February 1995, leaving UHC with the management responsibility of the assets

NAWEC is mandated for the provision of electricity, water and sewerage service in The Gambia. It is governed by a Board of Directors which is appointed by the Honourable Secretary of State for Energy. The Managing Director, appointed by the President, is responsible to directly oversee the operations of the Company. NAWEC has six (10) divisions each headed by a Director who reports directly to the Managing Director. The Directors also supervises Managers who work under their divisions.

In the year 2019 Water Tech was awarded a contract by FAO Gambia for the drilling of 10 wide diameter boreholes of six inch casing and all works were satisfactorily completed. In the same year another 7 boreholes of the same dimension were awarded to Water Tech and Construction company and all were completed in accordance to specifications state in the contract.
